Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and management of our premier golf course. In this vital role, you will oversee all groundskeeping activities, ensuring the course maintains top-tier playability, aesthetics, and environmental sustainability. Your leadership will inspire a dedicated team of grounds crew members, coordinate landscaping and turf management efforts, and execute construction projects that enhance the course’s overall quality. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the grounds maintenance team to ensure high standards of turf health, landscape appearance, and safety across the golf course.
- Oversee lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control to promote lush, healthy turf.
- Manage landscape maintenance activities such as tree care, and garden bed upkeep to enhance course aesthetics.
- Coordinate irrigation management systems to ensure optimal water usage and turf hydration; troubleshoot irrigation issues promptly.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and efficiently; manage company vehicle operations for transportation around the course.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and implement sustainable practices in groundskeeping operations.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment use, and project progress for reporting purposes.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective crew management, training in horticulture techniques, and leadership that motivates staff to excel.
Qualifications
- The individual must have worked at a ‘green grass’ facility for a minimum of 2-3 years.
- Proven experience in turf care, landscape maintenance, or golf course management with supervising experience.
- Effectively apply and record all chemical applications used on the coure in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Demonstrated skills in irrigation management and troubleshooting irrigation systems effectively.
- Experience operating groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, aerators, trimmers, and hardscape tools; familiarity with outdoor work environments is essential.
- Ability to lead teams confidently with excellent crew management skills; experience managing landscaping or construction crews is highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles safely in outdoor settings.
- Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Passion for outdoor work with a keen eye for detail in grounds maintenance and landscaping excellence.
Special Requirements
- Possess Pesticide Applicators License and can effectively mix and apply chemical applications to the golf course.
- Possess a BMP (best management practices) or obtain certification within 3 months of employment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
