- Level 3: Up to $32.50/hr
- Level 4: $35–$38/hr

Per Diem:
- $178/day for lodging and meals
- $60/day for rental car
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Optical Technicians Level 3 and Level 4 to support nationwide telecom projects involving optical transport installation, modification, testing, and turn-up. This is a 100% travel role supporting customer central offices, colocation sites, huts, and outdoor enclosures. Candidates must be self-directed, technically strong, and comfortable working in fast-paced, high-standards telecom environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Level 3: Minimum 2+ years of telecom installation experience or equivalent training
- Level 4: Minimum 3+ years of experience with ability to work on live equipment and circuits
- Experience with Adtran
- Strong knowledge of DWDM, OTN, and Ethernet transport protocols
- Experience using OTDR, fiber scope, BER testers, VOMs, and cable test equipment
- Solid understanding of AC/DC power systems, including -48V
- Ability to read and interpret MOPs, SOWs, circuit drawings, and engineering documents
- Must own telecom insulated hand tools
- Ability to travel nationwide for 3+ consecutive weeks
- Must pass background and drug screening
- Driver's license
- Must have a credit card to cover travel expenses. All the expenses are refunded weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, remove, and modify optical transport and telecom equipment
- Perform testing, turn-up, and circuit modifications
- Prepare and follow MOPs, JIMs, and Job Change Orders
- Perform quality inspections and resolve drawing or scope discrepancies
- Support power transitions, battery installations, and live circuit work (Level 4)
- Lead or guide lower-level installers as required
- Interface professionally with customers while meeting strict schedules
