Mil Gustos Hospitality Group is looking for an energetic and dependable Senior Shift Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is all about leading the charge during your shift, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and a positive environment for both guests and staff. As a Senior Shift Leader, you'll be the go-to person for managing daily restaurant activities, help direct team members, and maintaining high standards in food quality and safety. Duties
- Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring everything runs smoothly from opening to closing.
- Work with the General Manager Leading and motivating team members, providing guidance, training, and support to deliver top-notch customer service.
- Manage food preparation and ensure all dishes meet quality standards, following proper food handling and safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system, including cash handling and register management.
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control practices.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Support General Manager with training new team members to build a strong, capable team.
- Work with the preparation of tip totalers.
- Assist with catering as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management roles, especially within quick service or casual dining environments.
- Previous Shift Lead experience.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast; cash handling experience is essential.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and resolve guest concerns promptly.
- Background in food safety standards, culinary experience, or fine dining is a plus.
