Stretch-n-Grow of Greater Jackson Jackson / Madison / Rankin County, MS Part-Time | Weekday Daytime Hours Job Description Stretch-n-Grow of Greater Jackson is seeking an energetic, dependable, and engaging instructor to teach our children's Dance Stars, Music Stars, and Fitness Stars enrichment programs at preschools and childcare centers throughout the Jackson, Madison, and Rankin County area. This is a highly active, hands-on position working primarily with children ages 18 months–5 years. Our instructors travel to local schools and lead fun, structured classes using our established curriculum, music, and equipment. You do not need to be an expert in all three programs. We provide training and curriculum. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with movement and music, enjoys performing and interacting with young children, and can confidently lead a classroom. Most importantly, we need someone who is reliable, professional, and able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule. Responsibilities Teach engaging preschool dance, music, and/or fitness classes Travel to assigned preschools and childcare centers in the Jackson metro area Follow provided Stretch-n-Grow lesson plans and curriculum Create a positive, encouraging, high-energy environment for children Communicate professionally with school directors, teachers, parents, and Stretch-n-Grow management Arrive on time and prepared for every scheduled class Maintain accurate class attendance Help create a consistent, positive experience for our students and partner schools Participate in required training and team meetings What We're Looking For Our ideal instructor is: Dependable and punctual Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic Comfortable being silly, singing, dancing, exercising, and playing with young children Confident leading groups of preschool-aged children Able to work independently after completing training Professional when interacting with childcare directors, teachers, and families Able to commit to regularly scheduled weekday classes Comfortable driving between childcare centers during the workday Experience in early childhood education, preschool, childcare, dance, music, fitness, cheer, gymnastics, recreation, children's ministry, coaching, or teaching is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to travel throughout the Jackson/Madison/Rankin County area Weekday daytime availability Ability to pass all required background checks Ability to complete required training before working independently Ability to actively participate in classes, including standing, bending, dancing, exercising, and moving with children Dependable attendance and ability to maintain a consistent schedule Schedule This is a part-time daytime position, primarily Monday–Friday during preschool hours. Hours may vary based on class enrollment and school schedules. This position is best suited for someone looking for consistent part-time work during the day rather than full-time employment. Additional hours and classes may become available as our programs continue to grow.
