Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Office Manager, where you will lead the daily operations of a busy dental practice with energy and enthusiasm. You will oversee financial management, staff supervision, patient relations, and practice efficiency, all while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the dental office, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Oversee fiscal management activities such as budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to ensure profitability and compliance with healthcare policies
- Supervise administrative staff, dental assistants, hygienists, and other team members; provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team
- Ensure adherence to health regulation policies such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) standards
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; ensure data security and compliance with medical records regulations
- Oversee patient management software systems to streamline patient intake, appointment scheduling, billing, and follow-up processes
- Coordinate with dental practitioners on clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare management practices and acute care protocols when necessary
Skills
- Extensive experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting; familiarity with clinic workflows and healthcare practice management systems
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; strong understanding of electronic health records management
- Knowledge of healthcare regulation policies including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, and utilization management practices
- Skilled in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, medical billing, and managing practice finances effectively
- Proven ability to supervise teams; excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally and empathetically
- Competence in managing medical administrative support functions such as medical terminology understanding, medical records handling, and compliance documentation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and administrative tasks; experience with patient management software for scheduling and billing
- Critical care experience or acute care familiarity is a plus; knowledge of managed care processes enhances operational oversight
- Ability to navigate health regulation policies confidently while maintaining high standards of practice quality
