Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Present menus, highlight specials, and recommend wine pairings or signature cocktails to enhance the dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items, including premium spirits and specialty cocktails, to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process credit card payments, and manage tabs with precision
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale food service environments with a strong understanding of food handling and sanitation practices
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest relations
- Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy shifts
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly within a team setting
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Culinary or kitchen experience is desirable but not required; a passion for the food industry is essential
