Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to meet their needs.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and basic math calculations.
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an inviting shopping environment.
- Demonstrate phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, organizing stockroom areas, and participating in stock replenishment efforts.
- Engage customers with knowledgeable retail store product knowledge and promote additional products through upselling techniques.
- Supervise or assist in supervising other team members during shifts to ensure smooth store operations.
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math fundamentals.
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated.
- Strong communication skills coupled with excellent phone etiquette help foster positive customer interactions.
- Familiarity with merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail store product knowledge enhances your effectiveness on the floor.
- Previous experience with cashiering, cash handling, and retail sales transactions ensures confidence in daily responsibilities.
