Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time Office Assistant to join our busy orthopedic practice. This is an in-office position for someone who is organized, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to multitask while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist clients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate expert related files.
- Verify and update patient information.
- Assist with medical records, referrals, and other administrative tasks.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, attorneys, insurance adjusters, and case managers.
- Support the daily operations of a busy med-legal department in an orthopedic office.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Proficient with computers and willing to learn new software.
- Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with legal terminology or experience working with personal injury (PI), workers' compensation, medical-legal cases, attorneys, or insurance claims is a strong plus.
- Experience in an orthopedic or specialty medical practice is preferred.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
