Primary Purpose
Manages a gas transmission engineering function for a region or portfolio and is accountable for outcomes, talent development, and stakeholder alignment. Leads governance, budget, and communication to ensure reliable delivery.
Duties and Responsibilities-
Sets functional objectives and investment priorities; cascades plans to teams.

Chairs design and safety review meetings; enforces standards and stage-gates for project approvals.

Aligns team objectives to strategic themes and manages dependencies across functions.

Manages budgets, staffing plans, and hiring profiles; approves sourcing and onboarding.

Builds succession plans for senior roles and creates development paths for high-potential talent.

Leads stakeholder communication and produces concise decision briefs for leadership.

Maintains a risk register and mitigation plans for active and upcoming projects.

Drives collaboration with operations, regulatory affairs, and environmental compliance teams.

Requirements:
Qualifications
Required Education-
Typically requires a 4 year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Required Experience-
Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities-
Ability to develop engineering talent and succession plans.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering initiatives.
- Ability to manage performance across teams or project portfolios.
- In-depth knowledge of gas transmission engineering and system operations.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles.
- Skill in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Skill in developing and executing engineering plans aligned with organizational goals.
