Mid-Atlantic Animal Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced, customer service oriented technician to join our team. We are a privately owned Surgical Referral & Rehab Specialty Hospital located in Huntingtown, Maryland. We offer a competitive salary, health benefits, 401K, uniform allowance, and paid time off.
Daily responsibilities include:
- patient intake & history taking
- patient restraint (primarily large breed canines), baseline vitals, venipuncture, lab sample processing and medication preparation
- procedure estimates & invoicing
- assisting with patient care, ICU treatments, radiology and minor procedures
- patient discharge with detailed client education
An outpatient technician is the primary liaison between the veterinarian and the pet owner, making client education a central part of their daily role. A successful candidate must have an exceptional work ethic, strong communication & time management skills, flexible availability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
