FULL-CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

Position Overview:
- Role Summary: Manage full-cycle accounting operations specifically tailored to marine logistics, barge/vessel operations.
- Key Focus: Ensure ledger accuracy, track vessel-specific operating expenses, and support cost-control measures for marine transit.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices for marine fuel, dockage, port fees, and vessel maintenance or repairs.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Bill clients for cargo transport and freight services, track shipping collections, and resolve billing disputes.
- Vessel Expense Tracking: Allocate operational costs per vessel or fleet to monitor profitability and trip expenses.
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile company bank accounts, credit cards, and marine operating accounts monthly.
- Financial Reporting: Generate balance sheets, income statements, and customized vessel performance reports for company management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience; marine, logistics, or heavy transportation industry background preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential data.
