Modern Metal Finishing is a leading metal finishing and surface treatment plant for a variety of metals and alloys serving the aerospace, defense, automotive, commercial, and many other industries.
We are currently seeking agile, eager, and ideally experienced Anodizers and Passivators but are very open to inexperienced candidates that are hardworking, reliable, and demonstrate good work ethic every day, and the ability and desire to learn. We want good people, the right people, that want to learn, grow, and transform with us.
Some Responsibilities
- Perform metal finishing operations such as:
- Anodizing (sulfuric, hard, chromic, etc. as applicable)
- Passivation of stainless steel
- Chem film / conversion coatings
- Other plating/finishing processes as needed
- Set up, operate, and monitor equipment, racks, and fixtures.
- Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and customer specifications.
- Safely handle chemicals, solutions, and materials in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Inspect parts visually and use basic measurement tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of process times, solution checks, and production data.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant safety practices.
- Collaborate with supervisors, quality, and other team members to resolve process issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, job travelers, and basic shop documentation.
- Ask questions and be curious about learning.
- Be versatile and a Team Player – huge!
- Strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10-20 lbs as required.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience working with and following standards (e.g., MIL, AMS, NADCAP environments).
- Previous experience in a metal finishing / plating environment (plating, anodizing, passivation, chem film, or similar).
- Familiarity with one or more of the following:
- Chemical film / conversion coatings (e.g., chromate, non-chrome coatings).
- Basic understanding of chemical handling, PPE, and safety protocols.
