Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Line Leader to oversee daily operations within our warehouse distribution center. This role is vital in ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high safety standards, and fostering a productive team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics and inventory management systems. As a key player in our operations, the Line Leader will drive process improvements, coordinate material handling activities, and support overall warehouse efficiency to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve productivity targets and maintain high safety standards
- Coordinate the use of materials handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Monitor inventory levels using warehouse management systems and implement inventory management best practices
- Facilitate process improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies through ongoing training and safety audits
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate distribution schedules and shipping priorities
- Manage team schedules, assign tasks, and conduct performance evaluations
- Support warehouse supervisor in implementing lean management principles for continuous improvement
- Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, distribution center management, or similar roles with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and RF scanners
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse safety
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials efficiently
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as lean management
- Prior experience with warehouse supervisor roles or team leadership positions preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage logistics, shipping & receiving, and inventory control processes
