We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming experiences for both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, and styling of various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and grooming options.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, employing proper animal restraint techniques as needed.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff when necessary to address any health concerns observed during grooming.
- Keep accurate records of services performed, including any special instructions or observations regarding each pet.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and understand their needs.
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary assistant is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal care, including handling techniques for various breeds and sizes.
- Experience in animal restraint, kennel management, or pet sitting will be considered advantageous.
