Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee manufacturing operations during overnight hours. In this role, you will be responsible for managing production teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high-quality standards within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement. Plastic Injection Molding experience a big plus!
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff on the third shift, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Monitor daily production output, troubleshoot issues promptly, and implement process improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Interpret and follow production documents, technical drawings, and work instructions accurately to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate and oversee the use of forklifts, power tools, hand tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical assembly equipment safely and effectively.
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic practices.
- Manage inventory levels within the warehouse area, coordinate material movement using forklifts, and ensure proper storage practices.
- Lead team meetings to communicate goals, provide training on safety procedures, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Support process improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, utilize manufacturing management software, and interpret production documentation for reporting purposes.
Skills Needed
- 2+ years Manufacturing experience in a supervisory role
- Plastic Injection Molding experience, a PLUS
- High School education
- Good written and communication skills

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
