Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, open minded person to fill the Dishwasher/Food Preparation position at our (in)famous Drag Brunch team at Godfrey's. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during the high-energy and fast paced brunch shows. You will primarily be responsible for washing dishes, but will also assist in the preparation of meals, maintain cleanliness, and support the overall food service operations. Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Support cooks and chefs by providing necessary tools and ingredients during meal preparation.
- Help with food handling and storage, ensuring all items are properly labeled and stored at appropriate temperatures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet the demands of busy service periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff and management.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
