Position Summary
The RN Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff support and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the assigned nursing unit
- Supervise, support, and mentor nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all state, federal, and company regulations
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow on the unit
- Conduct audits, rounds, and quality assurance activities
- Address resident, family, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care
- Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment

- Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices
