CNC Lathe Machinist:$20-$24 DOE
Fabricate parts according to customer specifications and drawings, programming, setting up, and running vertical and horizontal milling machines and lathes.
Responsibilities
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments.
- Prepare G code program at the machine base on the prints.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, etc.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as CMM, calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Study parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
- Check work parts to ensure that they are properly lubricated and cooled.
- Operate equipment achieving operational efficiency.
- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment in order to remove grease, rust, stains, etc.
- Evaluate experimental procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency and adaptability to setup and production.
- Investigate manufacturing problems as necessary and follows through with solutions as directed.
Requirements
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating a milling machine.
- Must be able to do G Code program at the machine base on the print of the part.
- Must be able to read and write G Codes.
- Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing on work related documents.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Ability to conduct inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Positive attitude, self-driven, detailed oriented who is hungry to learn and further develop his skills.
- Ability to identify problems, present solutions, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Physical Demands
- This position requires accessing all areas in the plant necessary to develop the activity. Regularly required to stand or sit and move around the facility. Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
