Position: Assistant Head Start Center Director
Location: Forrest County
Salary: $25.51 - $26.54 per hour
Work Hours: 7 hours/day
Responsibilities:
Under the directions of the Center Director, the Assistant Center Director will provide leadership, direction and center oversight in the operation of Center activities, relating to child care services and is fully responsible for assisting with the ongoing operation of the center, including serving in the classroom when deemed necessary and staff supervision. The Assistant Center Administrator will assume all duties of the Center Administrator in his/her absence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education is required.
Must maintain CLASS reliability or must become reliable again within 6 months of losing certification. If new to Center Administrator position, reliability must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
Experience:
Must have a minimum of (2) years of experience working as a Teacher in Head Start or Early Head Start; some supervisory experience preferred.
