The Material Planner and Fabricator will assist with manufacturing systems, control panels and after successfully proving their capabilities and learning how system operates provide field service. In the role of field service technician, they will act as a representative of the company providing hands-on service to current and new customers in the local area and worldwide. The individual will safely build, install, troubleshoot and service water treatment equipment.
Support electrical control panel assembly activities, including panel layout, enclosure modifications, and preparation of components for installation.
Assist with cutting enclosures and organizing panel components in accordance with project requirements and approved drawings.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional installation environment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality panel fabrication practices.
Support material planning efforts to ensure required parts, materials, and fabrication needs are identified, organized, and available in advance of project work.
Assist Uriah with reviewing and confirming drawings, required parts, and material requirements prior to purchasing or fabrication activities.
Maintain project inventory by tracking materials, monitoring stock levels, organizing received parts, and communicating shortages, backorders, or reorder requirements in a timely manner.
Prepare, organize, and obtain quotes from appropriate vendors based on project specifications, material requirements, and purchasing needs.
Use approved vendor quotes to create purchase orders and support accurate purchasing records.
Develop working knowledge of AX processes to assist with purchasing activities and improve purchasing workflow efficiency.
Coordinate with the UCC purchasing team to track order status, resolve vendor or material questions, and ensure project material needs continue to progress.
Maintain accurate documentation related to purchase orders, material certifications, vendor records, and project-related order information.
Coordinate with the logistics team on outgoing shipments, including shipment timing, required documentation, packaging needs, and shipment details.
Understands and adheres to safety guidelines focusing on and consistently practicing safety as a top priority for all projects completed
Installation and repair of water treatment equipment including high purity and industrial water treatment equipment
PVC Piping installation, PP Piping, including cutting pipe, dry fitting and putting together kits.
Stainless steel assembly
Monitoring inventory
Financially responsible for spare part stock and work tools
Provide onsite service and prepare reports
All other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
H.S. diploma, Trade school certification or equivalent experience
0-3 years of experience within water treatment industry or equivalent experience
Stainless steel piping and skid welding certification a plus
Characteristics and Skills:
Must be able to learn and understand fluid concepts and instrumentation
Must be able to learn and investigate problems with instruments and electrical equipment including flow meters, variable speed drives, temperature sensors, level transmitters, communication devices and interfaces
Must be able to learn to inspect and test the operation of electrical and instrumentation equipment including PLCs. Wiring of control panels, a plus
Be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation, electrical equipment and associated piping and conduit systems
Must be able to read and interpret piping, general arrangement, electrical drawings, loop sheets, schematics, and P&ID's
Must be able to install, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools
Good communication skills and highly responsible
Ability to learn quickly

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to accommodate varying work schedules
Ability to climb up and down stairs and ladders
