Starting Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
The Armed Transport Officer is responsible for the safe, secure, and accurate transportation of cash, valuables, and sensitive materials between client locations, financial institutions, and processing facilities. This role requires strict adherence to security procedures, route planning, documentation standards, and real-time tracking systems. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of performing in dynamic environments while maintaining professionalism and situational awareness.
Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Transport Operations
- Safely operate an assigned armored or secured transport vehicle
- Perform daily vehicle safety and operational inspections prior to departure
- Load, secure, and verify all assigned cargo prior to route execution
- Maintain custody and control of all valuables at all times
- Follow established routes, schedules, and procedures with precision
- Adapt to real-world challenges including weather conditions, road closures, accidents, and route changes
Route Execution & Tracking
- Utilize company-issued track-and-trace software and hardware to accurately log all pickups, deliveries, and movements
- Accurately complete all required electronic and physical documentation
- Follow directions and replicate processes consistently day-to-day
- Maintain real-time communication with dispatch and operations staff
- Adjust to added or removed stops as directed while maintaining compliance and accuracy
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Adhere to all company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain situational awareness and professional demeanor at all client locations
- Ensure accurate handoff and verification of all deliveries and pickups
- Report discrepancies, incidents, vehicle issues, or safety concerns immediately
Required Qualifications
- Must meet all state and company requirements to carry a firearm while on duty
- Valid driver’s license with a clean or insurable driving record
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and firearms qualification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Comfortable working in high-accountability and security-focused environments
- Ability to work independently while following structured procedures
Skills & Experience
- Basic vehicle mechanical knowledge (fluids, spare tire change, warning indicators, battery jump start, general vehicle condition, etc.)
- Experience using mobile devices, GPS, and tracking applications
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure
- Strong time-management and route adherence skills
- Prior experience in armored transport, security, military, public safety, or law enforcement roles is required
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, and move weighted containers, bags, or boxes up to 50 lbs each
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- High situational awareness and ability to respond appropriately to unexpected events
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
