Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums.
- Handle chemical agents safely while applying sanitation procedures in compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and surface disinfecting to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Operate cleaning machinery including floor buffers and other custodial equipment with attention to safety and efficiency.
- Assist with light maintenance duties such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues requiring specialized attention.
- Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any facility maintenance needs promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning roles, with familiarity in industrial or residential cleaning environments preferred.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including safe lifting practices and hazard awareness.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Prior janitorial experience or porter experience is advantageous; additional skills in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning are a plus.

Pay: $22.63 - $27.25 per hour
