Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing all surfaces to ensure a spotless environment
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and the use of cleaning equipment to maintain high standards of hygiene
- Maintain public areas like lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by ensuring they are clean, organized, and inviting
- Follow safety procedures by, using proper chemical handling techniques, and adhering to hotel emergency procedures
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture or cleaning supplies to support efficient operations
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning materials to ensure availability for guest needs
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles within hospitality environments is preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning practices
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely, and using appropriate personal protective equipment
- Strong manual handling skills including heavy lifting and physical stamina for extended periods of activity
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such mops, and other janitorial tools
- Understanding of hotel housekeeping management processes and safety protocols is advantageous
