Duties
- Safely operate a range of vehicles including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and personal delivery vehicles on local routes and designated schedules
- Ensure compliance with all state transportation regulations and traffic laws during every trip
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and handling luggage or equipment with proper manual handling techniques
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine inspections, and coordinate basic maintenance to ensure optimal operation
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and special needs while providing outstanding customer service
- Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals
- Support medical transportation services by safely transporting patients while adhering to health and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or chauffeur driving various passenger or cargo vehicles
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation systems and local driving routes for efficient route planning
- Experience operating bus driving, shuttle driving, limousine services, or passenger vans with adherence to safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for luggage or cargo handling
- Familiarity with state transportation regulations and passenger vehicle safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability
- Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required
