Job Overview
Veteran Towing LLC is seeking to add another skilled and reliable Tow Truck Driver to our team. This role involves providing professional towing and roadside assistance services, ensuring customer safety, and maintaining the operational readiness of tow trucks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to customer service. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
Schedule
- Thurs - Sun (Other days as needed)
- 36+ hours per week.
- On Call as needed
Duties
- Operate wheel lift tow trucks and other tow vehicles safely and efficiently to assist stranded or disabled vehicles, Transport vehicles to or from the auction.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Manage customer interactions professionally, providing clear communication and exceptional customer service during stressful situations.
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including times, locations, and vehicle details.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws while on duty, including conflict management with distressed customers or other drivers.
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs if qualified, leveraging automotive repair skills and mechanical knowledge.
Qualifications
- Valid non-commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar heavy-duty vehicles preferred (Not Required as we will train the right person)
- Knowledge of the different drive lines in vehicles (FWD, RWD, 4X4, AWD)
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Excellent driving skills with experience in commercial driving environments. (Not Required as we will train the right person)
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally under pressure.
- Physical ability to load/unload vehicles and perform manual tasks related to towing operations. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, technical proficiency, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
