What You'll Do
- Assist with preparing and serving meals according to physician-ordered diets.
- Set up meal trays and deliver meals to residents with professionalism and compassion.
- Ensure food is served safely, accurately, and at the proper temperature.
- Assist with food preparation and portioning under the direction of the Dietary Manager.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
- Help maintain adequate food and supply inventory.
- Work closely with nursing and dietary staff to ensure residents receive exceptional dining experiences.
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service to residents, families, and visitors.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings.
Preferred
- Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, hospitality, or healthcare experience.
- Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility, hospital, or senior living community.
