Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team on weekends, specifically Fridays or Saturdays and Sundays. Duties
- Perform general dentistry procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics with precision and care
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with best practices in oral health
- Utilize dental imaging technology and medical imaging tools to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain thorough and compliant medical documentation, including dental records, treatment notes, and HIPAA privacy standards
- Execute infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during all procedures
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and post-treatment care instructions
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry setups to optimize workflow efficiency and patient comfort
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in dental office software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, healthcare diagnosis procedures, and state healthcare regulations governing dental practice
- Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, dental implants, and prosthodontics preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform medical documentation accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice environments
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients about their oral health effectively
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy knowledge and medical diagnosis enhances diagnostic accuracy
