Overview
Join our rapidly growing team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and make a meaningful difference in patient care! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, skilled nursing services in an outpatient mental health setting
Duties
- Assist Nurse Practitioners with delegated tasks on site to provide patient care in an outpatient mental health clinic
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs/weights, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Administer medications, phlebotomy, injections, EKG’s and other treatments following strict protocols and OSHA safety standards.
- Assist with patient scheduling and new intake paperwork and forms
- Assist with marketing tasks as assigned
- Assist with some HR/payroll duties
- Assist the CEO as requested
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and long-term care regulations; ensure confidentiality of all patient information.
- Assist in requesting previous medical records for coordination of care
- Assist with prior authorizations
- Manage the google voice office number
- Provide education and support to patients and families on health coaching, medication management, and disease prevention strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on planning, case management and care strategies for patients with mental health conditions
- Proven experience working with psychiatractic populations in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Phlebotomy experience and experience placing lab orders preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems; proficiency in ICD-9/10 coding and medical terminology is helpful
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medication administration protocols.
- Experience with specialized care areas such as substance use disorders, children's mental health, women’s health, schizophrenia and other serious mental health disorders
- A positive attitude is essential
- Practices strict confidentiality and follows strict HIPAA guidelines
- Excellent communication skills to effectively triage patient needs and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Valid Nursing license
- Experience preferred but not required, we will train the right candidate

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
