Overview
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented <PERSON> to join our bakery team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing, decorating, and packaging our signature cakes and baked goods. The ideal candidate will have a love for baking, food preparation, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced food industry setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills while contributing to a joyful atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including cake baking, pastry preparation, and food handling according to established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes with precision, including cake decorating techniques that enhance presentation and appeal.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support high-volume production needs.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following food safety protocols, ensuring proper sanitation, storage, and organization of ingredients and tools.
- Support food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients using basic math skills and adhering strictly to recipes.
- Help with packaging baked items for retail or catering orders while ensuring quality control.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with special requests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment used in baking and cooking.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and health regulations.
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens or catering environments is a plus.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency during busy periods.
- Excellent communication skills with a team-oriented attitude focused on collaboration.
- Basic math skills for ingredient measurement, portioning, and inventory management.
