Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation for dine-in, catering, or special events
- Follow safety protocols during food production to prevent cross-contamination and accidents
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth service flow
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Strong knife skills with proper slicing techniques; experience with food preparation is essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and slicers
