We are actively seeking CPS alumni to join the team as Students on the Academic Rise (S.O.A.R.) Peer Mentor to join our team. The ideal S.O.A.R Peer Mentor will be detail-orientated, a quick learner, have solid time management and leadership skills and be flexible. This position requires the ability to speak one-on-one and in group settings to new and returning students about the Harold Washington College experience, share your own personal experiences and help new students transition more comfortably and successfully into college.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the program supervisor and Peer Coaches, the S.O.A.R. Peer Mentor Student will act as the CCC student representative to prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Provides quality customer service to prospective, current and continuing Chicago Public School (CPS) mentees through outreach, mentoring interaction, campus events, and other engagement opportunities.
Eligibility Requirements:
Salary Range: $17.00 Per Hour
Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
