Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and visionary VP of Manufacturing to lead our manufacturing
operations in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry. The ideal candidate will have
extensive experience in manufacturing management within the automotive, bus or RV
sectors, with a focus on driving efficiency, quality, and innovation. This role is critical in
ensuring that our production processes align with the company’s strategic goals and
meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
● Manufacturing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive
manufacturing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business
objectives and enhances production capabilities.
● Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency by optimizing
manufacturing processes, resource allocation, and production schedules to
maximize output and minimize waste.
● Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain high-quality standards across all
manufacturing operations, implementing continuous improvement practices to
enhance product quality and reliability.
● Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain and logistics processes to
ensure timely availability of materials and components while managing costs
effectively.
● Technology Integration: Lead the adoption of advanced manufacturing
technologies, including automation and lean manufacturing principles, to
improve productivity and reduce operational downtime.
● Safety and Compliance: Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with safety
regulations and industry standards, fostering a culture of safety among all
employees.
● Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing team, promoting
a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as
engineering, sales, and marketing to align production capabilities with market
demands and customer requirements.
● Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring
efficient use of resources and alignment with financial projections.
Qualifications
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field;
● Experience: Minimum of 15 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5
years in a leadership role within the RV, automotive, or related industries.
● Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes,
technologies, and best practices, particularly in the context of RV production.
● Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with
excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on
data-driven decision-making to enhance manufacturing performance.
● Results-Oriented: Track record of driving operational improvements and
achieving manufacturing objectives through effective leadership and strategic
planning.
