Duties
- Assist dentist during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument handling
- Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following infection control standards
- Support infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures for dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to enhance their understanding of procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting practices
- Familiarity with dental software such as Open Dental for medical documentation and patient management
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical confidentiality policies
- Knowledge of dental equipment operation, and oral surgery tools
- Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while adhering to infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant healthcare training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is valued
