Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional home healthcare services to clients in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves supporting individuals across various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, and community environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient well-being, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Prior experience in long-term care, hospice, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. This is a paid position that offers meaningful work in a rewarding field.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient observations, and changes in health status
- Medication reminders following care plans and medical guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain cleanliness of the client’s environment through light housekeeping and personal hygiene assistance
- Follow established care plans and document services provided accurately
- Assist with specialized care for conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities
- Support clients during emergencies by applying first aid or CPR when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication reminders, and care plan implementation
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, such as autism or dementia
- Strong observational skills for patient safety and health status updates
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- BLS/CPR and First Aid certification preferred; ongoing training encouraged
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide high-quality senior care and support for individuals facing health challenges
