Position Overview:
The Environmental Manager, specialized in asbestos, is responsible for planning, coordinating, managing, and overseeing asbestos inspection, abatement, remeditation, and compliance projects. This position ensures all work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage asbestos abatement and remediation projects from proposal through completion, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.

Develop project estimates, proposals, and scopes of work in collaboration with technical and business development teams

Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, address issues, and ensure satisfaction.

Track project financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, AHERA, NESHAP, state and local regulations.

Submit required notifications and permit documentation.

Monitor air clearance testing requirements and project closeout documentation

Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle

Conduct site investigations, collect and evaluate data, and prepare comprehensive reports

Communicate with regulatory authorities and address project-specific requirements

Review and approve timesheets, reports, and client documentation; ensure timely submission of project deliverables.

Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance feedback; participate in hiring and onboarding.

Ensure all activities adhere to company safety protocols and regulatory requirements

Assist with identifying add-on or follow-on work opportunities through client engagement and field visibility.

Participate in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, laboratory, safety, and operational teams.
