Cedar Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a Skilled Nursing Facility located in Ossining, New York, is seeking a Part-Time Medical Records Clerk to join our compassionate care-giving team.
Job Summary:
As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and complete medical records for our residents, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients, family members, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities:
Maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines and established policies and procedures
Review and analyze records to ensure internal consistency on a quarterly basis using the facility's medical record chart audit tool
File required documents in the resident chart
Assist in organizing, planning, and directing the medical records section in accordance with established policy and procedure
Abstract information from records as authorized or required for insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and other entities
Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies
Maintain confidentiality and privacy of all resident information
