Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented bench carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and a strong understanding of cabinet construction techniques. This role involves creating custom cabinets and furniture pieces that meet our clients' specifications, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Duties
- Construct, assemble, and install cabinets and furniture according to design specifications.
- Utilize various hand tools and machinery to shape, cut, and finish wood materials.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Perform repairs and modifications on existing cabinetry as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Create and modify cabinet designs based on client specifications and spatial constraints.
- Apply various finishing techniques including staining, painting, varnishing, and lacquering.
- Install hardware components such as hinges, handles, drawer slides, and specialized mechanisms.
- Perform on-site cabinet installations, ensuring proper leveling, securing, and finishing.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in design.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience with painting and finishing techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of various wood species, grain patterns, and material properties.
- Understanding of kitchen and bathroom design principles and industry standards.
- Experience with solid surface materials, laminates, and veneer applications.
- Knowledge of current cabinet hardware systems and installation requirements.
- Knowledge of cabinet structural requirements for various applications.
- Proven experience in professional cabinet installation in residential and/or commercial settings.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
