Position Description:
CGI is seeking a talented Power BI Report Developer to join our growing team supporting large scale ERP implementations and enterprise analytics initiatives.
While San Diego, CA is the preferred location, remote candidates with the right experience will be considered. Must be willing to work PST hours!
In this role, you'll design and deliver impactful reporting solutions that empower business users and executive leaders with the insights they need to make informed, data driven decisions.
Working closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, data engineers, and solution architects, you'll transform complex business requirements into intuitive dashboards, interactive reports, and scalable analytics solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
How you'll make an impact
. Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations that deliver actionable business insights
. Partner with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions
. Connect, transform, and integrate data from multiple enterprise sources, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, Snowflake, Databricks, APIs, and other business applications
. Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI semantic models, datasets, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations to ensure high performing, reliable, and scalable reporting solutions
. Implement data governance, security, and Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure compliance, data integrity, and protection of sensitive information
. Analyze complex business data and deliver intuitive visualizations that support operational performance, strategic planning, and executive decision making
. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, architects, and project teams to identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities and drive business value
. Troubleshoot and resolve reporting, data quality, integration, and performance issues while ensuring timely delivery of high quality reporting solutions
. Create technical documentation, report specifications, user guides, and knowledge transfer materials while providing user support and training to encourage successful adoption
. Evaluate emerging Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI capabilities and recommend innovative enhancements that strengthen the organization's business intelligence ecosystem
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
What you'll bring
. 35 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business intelligence and reporting solutions
. At least 3 years of hands on experience with Microsoft Power BI, developing dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related technical discipline
. Strong expertise with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, semantic models, datasets, report optimization, and performance tuning
. Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Excel, SharePoint, Snowflake, Databricks, APIs, and other business systems
. Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts
. Experience developing enterprise scale reporting and analytics solutions with an emphasis on performance, scalability, usability, and data quality
. Experience implementing data governance, security best practices, and Row Level Security (RLS) within Power BI
. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,600.00 - $132,100.00.
