Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on ABA principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze behavioral data accurately to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Conduct patient assessments and participate in diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and treatment goals
- Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for learning and development
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to coordinate care strategies and provide training on behavioral techniques
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical documentation, including progress notes, intake forms, and treatment records
- Assist in intake processes by gathering relevant client information and preparing necessary documentation for clinical review
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Proficiency in data collection methods to track behavioral progress effectively
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient assessment procedures
- Ability to handle sensitive medical records with confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with clients and their families
