Job Description:
We are seeking fun, passionate and talented music teachers specializing in private lesson piano instruction to join our team. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or weekend opportunities, we work with instructors to set a weekly schedule to fit their availability. Immediate hours available Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:30PM-8PM, Saturdays 9-4PM.
Current Availability (Full Schedule):
3 Days/Week (15-18 Hours) - Wed/Thu/Sat
1 Day/Week (6 Hours) - Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach private lessons to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Collaborate with administrative staff and other faculty members to ensure student success.
- Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress and goals.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in piano and voice.
- Prior teaching experience is required.
- A degree in music is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring a love for music in students.

- Are you able to teach BOTH piano and voice in private, one-on-one lessons?
- Are you consistently available on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays from 2:30pm to 8pm and/or Saturdays between 9am and 4pm?
- Are you able to commit to a consistent weekly teaching schedule for at least one calendar year?
- Do you have reliable transportation to teach in person at Medina School of Music in Medina, Minnesota?
- How many years of experience do you have teaching private music lessons?
- Which age groups have you taught in private or small-group music instruction?
- Briefly describe your piano and voice training and the levels you feel comfortable teaching in each.
- Private music teachers often teach students with different personalities, abilities, learning styles, and levels of motivation. Briefly describe how you would respond to a student who repeatedly comes to lessons without practicing.
