About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our outpatient clinic located within a premier Assisted Living Facility. This is a unique opportunity for a therapist who enjoys building long-term relationships with patients and wants to play a pivotal role in growing a caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough initial assessments of residents to determine functional limitations and rehabilitation potential.
- Individualized Care: Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the geriatric population, focusing on fall prevention, mobility, and pain management.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with the facility’s families, and physicians to ensure a holistic approach to resident wellness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Program Growth: Act as an ambassador for the therapy department, educating residents and staff on the benefits of outpatient PT to help grow the caseload toward a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Licensure: Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy license in the state of California.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience specifically working with the geriatric population (Outpatient, SNF, or ALF experience preferred).
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent interpersonal communication, and a "growth mindset" to help build the program.
Pay: $58.00 - $64.00 per hour
