Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team and ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities and outdoor spaces. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including landscape care, equipment repairs, and general building upkeep. - Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, pruning shrubs, and planting flowers to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery including excavators for construction or landscaping projects.
- Conduct routine building repairs including plumbing, electrical work, painting, and carpentry to ensure facilities remain functional and safe.
- Maintain outdoor spaces through lawn care activities like aerating soil, fertilizing plants, and installing irrigation systems for healthy growth.
- Execute snow plowing and de-icing procedures during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for all users.
- Assist with hardscape projects such as paving walkways or installing retaining walls to improve landscape durability and appearance.
- Support tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting new trees, or removing hazardous branches to promote healthy growth. Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating various tools and equipment used in maintenance and landscaping.
- Strong background in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
- Familiarity with construction processes, hardscape installation, and the use of power tools such as drills, saws, or excavators.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems management and tree care techniques including trimming and pruning.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, digging trenches, or operating snow plows efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward troubleshooting maintenance issues promptly.
