Christian Medical & Dental Associations, the world’s largest faith-based organization of healthcare professionals, is seeking a Full-time Northeast Ohio Area Director to build on the foundation that has already been laid in Northeast Ohio. The Area Director works to convene and amplify the existing ministry of CMDA in the area while also further developing the scope of the local ministry. This role will be a combination of ministry and administration that can be categorized into three buckets: campus ministry, community ministry, and coordinating with the regional and national offices of CMDA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Campus Ministry: expected to take up as much as 50-60% of the AD's time and attention.

Training the new leaders to carry out the ministry on their campus

Regularly visiting each campus in Cleveland and Rootstown during the academic year

Offering opportunities for students from different campuses to connect

Helping to pair interested students with mentors in the community

Keeping the student leaders informed of upcoming CMDA events

Helping local students to step into regional and national leadership roles

Recruiting students to attend conferences and mission trips with CMDA
-
Helping student leaders to develop a succession plan and the transition to the new leaders each year
Community Ministry: ministry to healthcare professionals in Northeast Ohio.

Offering regular opportunities for fellowship and small group study to healthcare professionals in and around Cleveland and Akron areas

Assisting local leaders in recruiting for oversees medical mission trips

Reaching out to new members in the area, including residents that match in Cleveland and Akron, to connect them with local opportunities for fellowship

Developing local leaders; delegating tasks relating to the ministry to others

Organizing one or more annual dinner for local professionals to come together for fellowship and to hear a speaker

Attending NEOCMDA council meetings
Other Responsibilities:
- The AD should make every effort to attend the CMDA Staff Connections Conference, Midwest Fall Conference, and the National Convention each year.

The role of AD is funded through personal support raising. CMDA provides training and coaching to AD’s as they raise their support, and the local council pledges to be part of the AD’s support team but additional fundraising is required.

The AD will provide regular ministry updates to the council and the Midwest Regional Director via monthly and annual reports.
- The AD will maintain a quarterly newsletter to be distributed to local members, donors, and others interested in the Cleveland CMDA ministry.
QUALIFICATIONS

Profession and testimony of Christian faith and exemplary Christian witness

Proven ministry experience (recommended >5 years)

Graduate-level degree, preferred

Formal ministry training, preferred (Bible college, seminary training, or equivalent)
