Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for establishing and leading the end-to-end quality assurance framework across third-party due diligence engagements. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and defensibility of all loan-level review outputs, including credit, compliance, and collateral assessments.
The QC Manager acts as the final line of defense prior to client delivery, providing independent validation of review conclusions, identifying systemic risks, and ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory requirements, and rating agency standards.
This is a full-time remote employee position.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance Leadership
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance the QC framework across all asset classes
- Establish risk-based sampling methodologies
- Perform independent reviews to validate associate accuracy and integrity
- Ensure consistent application of review scopes, guidelines, and grading methodologies
Defect Governance & Risk Analytics
- Define and maintain standardized defect taxonomy
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify systemic issues across underwriters / review teams
- Deliver clear, actionable QC reporting, including defect rates, trend analysis, and risk insights
Team Leadership & Calibration
- Lead, mentor, and develop QC analysts
- Conduct calibration sessions to drive review consistency
- Provide feedback loops to review teams to improve first-pass quality
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs, productivity metrics, and performance standards
Process, Controls & Infrastructure
- Develop and maintain QC checklists, job aids, and standardized review templates
- Partner with technology teams to implement automation, and data integrity controls
Regulatory & Audit Alignment
- Ensure QC processes are aligned with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g., ATR/QM, TRID, RESPA, TILA)
Qualifications
- 10+ years of mortgage experience
- 3+ years TPR Due Diligence experience
- 3+ years leadership experience
Technical Skills
- Non-QM credit underwriting and compliance expertise
- 2+ years LauraMac Loan Review System experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting rated and non-rated securitizations

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
