Position Overview The Airbrush Artist (Painter) will paint a variety of urethane and hardcoat products with an automotive type paint mixture, using spray guns, airbrushes, and other types of painting tools per SOP. You will work with stencils, masks, and freehand to produce products as depicted in production detail drawings and illustrations. Must have a strong attention to detail and prove ability to replicate specified drawings. Must prep, repair, and apply paint mixtures.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Mix and apply paint per SOP; ensure proper paint color and coverage.
•Accurately replicate the design/illustration per Detail Drawing.•Use, maintain, and clean airbrushes, air guns, pressure pots and other equipment as required.
- Prep and repair any discrepancies in surface, including filling and sanding imperfections.
- Maintain records of labor time and materials used, and record appropriately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; observe and follow proper safety practices.
- Assist in performing other painting/coating related maintenance duties as assigned.
- Follow the daily/weekly schedule and prioritize projects in order to meet customer shipping deadlines.
- Work with cross-department teams to communicate questions and concerns surrounding safety, quality, timeline or other work-related issues.
- Other duties as assigned.Meet production schedule and quality standards, including smooth clear coat with no holes, runs, bumps, or pick points and accuracy to design details.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Preferred Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED.•Minimum of 2 year of experience.•Preferred degree form an accredited art school.•Must be accurate and efficient.•Must have the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment as well as individually.•Must be adaptable to changes and last-minute requests.•Prior experience with principles and practices used in painting/mixing.•Familiarity with practices relating to health and safety involved in painting/mixing assignments.•Proficient with methods and techniques of storing equipment, materials and supplies.•Pre-employment medical test is required, relevant to respirator program protocol.•Ability to wear respirators and required PPE.

Working Conditions: This is a production environment with exposure to heat, noise, chemicals, etc. Carrying, pushing or pulling parts to area. Lifting and bending frequently. Steel toed shoes are required at all times. Safety Glasses are required at all times. Specified personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for this position. Hearing protection is required only in specified areas.Position Location: Position is on-site Monday through Friday (7AM-3:30PM) and not remote eligible. Compensation: Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Dallas, TX, is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas. There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
