Job Summary

Duties
- Provide peer support and mentorship to individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, or co-occurring disorders
- Share personal recovery experiences to inspire hope and motivate clients toward positive change
- Assist clients in developing recovery plans using motivational interviewing and harm reduction strategies
- Conduct crisis management and intervention when necessary, ensuring safety for clients and staff
- Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to coordinate care and support client needs within electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Engage with culturally diverse communities, respecting individual backgrounds and promoting inclusive support practices
- Advocate for client rights and promote peer support initiatives that foster empowerment and community integration
Qualifications
- Lived experience with mental health conditions or substance use recovery, with the ability to share insights authentically and responsibly
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, addiction counseling, harm reduction, and crisis intervention techniques
- Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health needs
- Strong client communication skills, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and motivational interviewing abilities
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws and ethical standards
- Familiarity with social work practices and working within diverse cultural communities is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care coordination

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
