Registered Dental Assistant - Established 6-Doctor Family & Cosmetic Practice in Abilene (Early Fridays)
Southwest Dental Group, a well-established family and cosmetic dental practice serving Abilene, TX for over 40 years, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. We're a six-doctor, full-scope practice (cosmetic, implants, Invisalign, orthodontics, sedation, and laser dentistry, known across Abilene for advanced technology and a caring, patient-first team.
What you'll do: Assist chairside across general, restorative, and cosmetic procedures using light-cured materials; take alginate impressions and pour/trim models; fabricate anterior and posterior temporary crowns/veneers; pack and remove retraction cord; assist with in-house whitening; use intra-oral cameras and digital scanning systems; take blood pressure readings; provide post-op instructions; chart and update records; handle instrument sterilization, operatory turnover, and autoclave, operation; and schedule follow-ups and recalls.
What we're looking for:
- Active Texas RDA license
- Experience preferred, but a new graduate with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn will be considered
- Comfort across general, restorative, and cosmetic clinical workflows
- Digital scanning experience a plus
- A strong communicator who is organized, detail-oriented, and team-first
Schedule: Mon–Thu 7:45 AM–5:30 PM, Fri 7:45 AM–1:30 PM (early Fridays).
Compensation: Determined during the interview / working-interview process, plus a monthly bonus.
