About the Role
Our manufacturing department is looking for a talented CNC Machinist / Programmer to help drive our production efforts. You will be tasked with the programming, configuration, and operation of CNC lathes and mills to create precise, high-caliber components. We are looking for someone with deep technical expertise in machining and conversational programming who can thrive in a dynamic job shop setting focused on prototype development and smaller production runs.
Core Duties

Utilize conversational programming at the machine control to manage the setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes.

Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to ensure parts are manufactured to exact specifications.

Execute machine configurations, manage tool swaps, and calibrate work offsets.

Verify the quality of completed components by utilizing precision measurement devices like micrometers, gauges, and calipers.

Oversee machining cycles and modify offsets to help ensure consistent dimensional accuracy and high-quality output.

Resolve production and machining challenges to reduce idle time and keep operations running smoothly.

Contribute to the success of prototype and low-volume manufacturing projects within our fast-moving shop.

Carry out routine preventative maintenance tasks on all machinery and tools.

Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping the workspace tidy and adhering to all safety protocols.
Required Skills and Experience

Background in a manufacturing capacity as a CNC Programmer, Machinist, or in a related field.

Expertise in utilizing conversational programming directly at the machine interface.

Comprehensive knowledge of machining workflows, tooling, and the operation of CNC lathes and mills.

Competency in interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T standards.

Hands-on experience with precision metrology tools, including gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address technical issues.

Capacity to work autonomously and handle various tasks simultaneously in a job shop atmosphere.
