Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support carpentry, concrete work, and other trades
- Prepare and install formwork for concrete pouring, ensuring accurate alignment according to blueprints and specifications
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete surfaces while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards
- Install rebar reinforcement in concrete structures following detailed technical drawings and plans
- Support heavy lifting activities for materials such as lumber, concrete blocks, or steel components
- Interpret construction plans and blueprints to understand project requirements and execute tasks accordingly
- Perform demolition, renovation, or site preparation activities as needed to facilitate ongoing construction work
- Follow all safety regulations related to construction workplace safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with the installation of flooring, tile laying, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and other finishing tasks to enhance project completion
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related laborer role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with heavy machinery such as concrete mixers or concrete pumps is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for hazard prevention
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, rebar installation, formwork construction, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, and surface preparation techniques
- Proven ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Strong work ethic with excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail in interpreting blueprint specifications

Pay: $23.20 - $27.94 per hour
