Job Overview
The public face of Camp Deer Run and the Board’s partner in carrying out the mission. The CEO sets direction, owns major donor relationships, and holds the leadership team accountable for operational and ministry excellence. Ministry content and summer operations are delegated to the Director of Camp; the CEO partners on vision but does not personally run them.
Duties
● Execute the strategic plan in partnership with the Board.
● Build and hold accountable a high-functioning leadership team of five directors/managers.
● Own major donor relationships; partner with the Director of Development on strategy and execution.
● Serve as primary Board partner: prepare materials, maintain reporting cadence, support the Board Chair.
● Ensure financial health: lead budget development, oversee the annual audit relationship, sign off on major expenses.
● Represent the camp publicly and in CCCA, church, and community networks.
● Provide spiritual leadership alongside the Director of Camp, with the Director of Camp leading day-to-day discipleship content.
Requirements
● Full alignment with Camp Deer Run’s Statement of Religious Beliefs and Code of Conduct.
● Proven executive leadership, including managing other leaders.
● Strong business acumen across strategy, operations, budgeting, and compliance.
● Track record with major donor relationships and/or capital campaigns.
● Bachelor’s degree.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
